ERNEST J. LEE: A PRODUCER ON THE MOVE
Multi-platform, multi-genre music producer Ernest J. Lee, a native of the legendary Motor City of Detroit, Michigan, is poised to make major waves throughout the remainder of 2026 and into 2027. Fresh off the success of the highly anticipated reunion project, Together Forever, by the iconic gospel supergroup The Family, Lee has returned to the studio with renewed energy, writing and producing for a new generation of dynamic artists. His recent partnership with independent powerhouse Blacksmoke Music Worldwide has already proven to be a winning combination, setting the stage for an exciting slate of upcoming releases.
Among those releases is the powerful worship anthem “Healing” by acclaimed gospel vocalist Cedric Ballard, currently impacting radio and resonating with listeners nationwide. Lee has also teamed up with the sensational LaSha' Knox on her forthcoming EP, Testify, contributing his songwriting talents to the inspirational standout “My Season,” a collaboration already generating significant buzz and destined to become a fan favorite.
Closing out the summer of 2026, gospel music fans can look forward to what may become the anthem of the year: “I Believe God” from Kisha Grandy (Lee), affectionately known as the “First Lady of David's Dance Music.” Best known for her unforgettable vocals during her tenure with the iconic Kirk Franklin & The Family, Grandy returns in spectacular fashion, delivering a performance filled with conviction, passion, and excellence. Speaking about the record, Lee shares, “Kisha never ceases to amaze me with her dynamic vocals and her command of a song’s essence. I’m so proud of my wife. She’s a legend, and this recording is a reminder of exactly why.”
